Sadly, Bernard will no longer be having a Birthday Party.

His first party was in Mississippi on March 17, 1980.

His last party was at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital

in Memphis, TN on March 17, 2011. 

Once upon a time, his parties were the Event of the Year!

Bernard's Parties were true celebrations in honor of the

brave and precious children who shared

a special friendship with this green little boy.

Bernard's Birthday always falls on March 17th

because everyone wears green on that day!

(Some people lovingly refer to this day as "St. Bernard's Day".)

Bernard has been having a birthday party for over 30 years,

but every year she still manages to turn four years old!

(He can't get more than four because he only has four fingers.)
