Charlene and Ruedi

Ruedi is from Switzerland.
He moved to America when he was twenty-two years old
(and he didn't speak English at the time)!
Throughout these many years he has been a wonderful husband to my sister,
a loving father to his children, a devoted son-in-law to my mother,
and a great brother-in-law to me.
Charlene and Ruedi have three lovely daughters, Haley, Robin, and Annaliese.
Ruedi and Charlene are blessed with several grandchildren.
Their grandkids call them "Oma and Opa", as is the custom in Switzerland.
Their oldest daughter, Haley, has three adorable children,
Gibson (six), Haven (four), Elam James, born August 11, 2006,
and a new one on the way!

My sister, Charlene married Ruedi, on October 15, 1977.

Gibson, following in Opa's shoes!

The new generation . . . our Uncle Bill would be so proud!
Gibson is playing the baby grand piano which belonged to our Uncle, Bill Lindenmayer.
The picture below is a recent picture of Elam also falling in love with music.
Bill Lindenmayer was a gifted concert pianist and a marvelous piano teacher.
His music lives on in this new generation!

While each of us have participated in our church's special productions,
Ruedi has been our family's best rising star.
