Anna Ives is the daughter of Zac and Amy Ives of Memphis.

Anna is one of Le Bonheur's most famous patients these days. 

In June, four–year-old Anna represented Le Bonheur at the 

National Association of Children’s Hospitals (N.A.C.H.) Family Advocacy Day in Washington, DC.

"Kids Need More than Medicine to Get Well"

The Pre-Op Teaching Program is conducted by Diana M. Chiles, Pediatric Therapist for Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center.

My office is located in the Surgery Area of Le Bonheur.

The main focus of my job is working closely

with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and Perioperative Staff

 to help prepare and support our surgery patients and their families.

Dr. Boop recommended the Pre-Op Teaching Program to Anna's parents

as a way of preparing Anna and her family for her upcoming surgery.

When her mother called me, she told me:  "Welcome to Anna's Team!"

Truer words were never spoken.

It is a privilege to be a part of the "Healing Team" for children such as Anna.

Abby (left) is the daughter of Lori ... and Margaret (right) is the daughter of Martha.

Abby and Margaret's Mommies worked at Le Bonheur as Child Life Specialists in the late 90's.

What a special gift to see them again and to meet their beautiful children!
