This video shows Amanda's brothers, Matt and Brad,

during the Pre-Op Teaching Program.

It also features Ella Jackson's daughter, Tiffany,

and Alex Purvis, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Purvis.

This was the first time Bernard was on television.

Ella Jackson was our wonderful Pediatric Nursing Director,

and my dear friend.

Her daughter, Tiffany, was the one who "invented" Bernard's Birthday.

Ella had invited Bernard to Tiffany's four-year-old Birthday Party.

Tiffany with the excitement of a child, asked Bernard when his Birthday was . . .

then she said, "I know!  It's St. Patrick's Day!  Because everyone wears green!!!!!

And thus, Bernard's birthday was officially created.

Dr. Purvis and his wife were good friends of Dr. Boyd and Jo Ann Massey.
